Part of an approved scheme for the regeneration of the site comprising 19-35 Baker Street, 30 Gloucester Place, 69-71 Blandford Street and 88-110 George Street, our client’s vision is to open up the site, creating a new commercial building with a courtyard realm for residents, workers and visitors.
19-35 Baker Street is a multi-unit commercial and retail development, which had its area increased by more than 100 000 sq ft (9 290m2). We have worked with Derwent previously on other properties in their portfolio, which allowed us to develop a thorough understanding of their needs.
After an assessment of the building, we recommended a number of security measures that could be implemented. 2D CAD and BIM for security systems provided a thorough and detailed plan for their security, and an automated access control system (AACS), intercom system and new command-and-control room allows effective monitoring of the building. QCIC also ensured that the building met BREEAM sustainability standards through the planning advice we provided.
