2-3 Finsbury Avenue

QCIC was appointed to design the physical security and technical security systems for 2-3 Finsbury Avenue, the latest addition to the Broadgate Estate.

It is proposed that 2-3 Finsbury Avenue will be a high-rise building consisting of a 12 storey podium, a 35-storey east tower and a 20-storey west tower.
QCIC was appointed to provide a counter terrorism and physical-security design that meets both the security requirements of the proposed building and adds to the protection of the estate.

The counter terrorism design will address the threat of a blast attack to the building as well as the threat to the building or wider estate of a vehicle used as a weapon. QCIC will also work with the project architect to integrate physical security into the external and internal areas of the building. The aspiration is to hide the security equipment and devices to provide a secure environment without visible barriers and technology.

In addition to security designers, the QCIC team includes registered SABRE assessors who will be producing a risk relative assessment of the building’s security aspirations from design stages through to practical completion.
