20 Fenchurch Street

We designed the complete security strategy for this project, as well as perimeter VBIED threat protection.

Designed by architect Rafael Viñoly, the distinctively shaped 20 Fenchurch Street building is located in the historic City of London financial district. The entrance floor and 34 storeys of office space are served by 14 double-deck lifts, and topped by a double-height viewing gallery. This key building feature includes publicly accessible landscaped gardens, an outside roof terrace, a restaurant and private dining areas.

This elite and yet accessible entertaining space required a specialist security strategy designed to be highly effective but not overbearing. In response to these conditions, QCIC designed a custom security screening area for the public entrance to the viewing gallery, known as the “Sky Garden”.
