Central Cross

Central Cross is on a 2.1 acre site on Tottenham Court Road, near Covent Garden, Soho and Leicester Square. The area is known as Fitzrovia, a cultural and creative hub once home to writers such as George Bernard Shaw, Virginia Woolf and Arthur Rimbaud.

QCIC was appointed to re-design and retrofit the existing security systems for the 251 000 sq ft (23 318m²) development, which houses office and retail space.

Our security recommendations were made after a considered selection process, which ensured that new products worked both aesthetically and technically with the existing security systems, and with ORMS’ proposed designs.

The security systems comprised an integrated access control system, IP CCTV and voice intercom systems as well as the provision of a new security control room managing the day to day security coverage of both the Phase 1 & Phase 2. We also designed a new PMR radio system to provide seamless coverage between the two buildings.
