As well as designing the security scheme for Rothschild’s New Court headquarters, we also were appointed to technically assess the likelihood and possible damage by a vehicle-borne improvised explosive device being detonated within the immediate vicinity of the building.
In addition to maintaining a reasonable level of standoff, allowing for heavy pedestrian footfall from the nearby mainline tube stations and acting as a traffic calming system, the chosen solution also needed to offer minimum disruption and relocation of the underground utilities that are abundant within the area.
