Station Hill, Reading

Reading train station is the second busiest interchange in the UK outside London. It underwent a major redevelopment, designed by architectural practice Allies and Morrison, to improve traffic flow and alleviate bottleneck congestion.
The station was extended to include five new platforms, plus a new footbridge and entrance.
We were appointed by Stanhope to design the security for the redeveloped area outside the station. After conducting an assessment, QCIC made a number of recommendations that included CCTV and automated access control system design.
