The Buckley Building

Working alongside Buckley Gray Yeoman, we designed the physical and technical security systems for this 100 000 sq ft (9 290m2) refurbishment project in Clerkenwell Green, the creative hub at the centre of Islington, London.

To return the former 1930s print house to its original glory, the architectural vision called for ‘subtle enhancement’, which was achieved by admitting more natural light through large windows, removing the existing atrium and enhancing the core, for example.

The architects also reworked the way the building addresses the surrounding streets from its island site by relocating the entrances.
Our security is designed to sit in harmony with the modern architectural elements but does not hamper the original 1930s design. We have incorporated the latest security technologies in a way that subtly blends in with the clean look and feel of the building.
